The Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show
I took the family to "The Incredible Naumkeag Pumpkin Show" in Stockbridge, Ma. This was our first time attending the pumpkin show. We have visited the Naumkeag many times for events or walking the grounds. Visit their website here for more information about upcoming events at the Naumkeag.
Tickets
Ordering tickets was easy online from the Trustees' website. Ticket prices were $22.00 for adults and $10.00 for children. We have discounted memberships throughout Berkshire county, so your costs may vary. Once your date and time are confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with QR codes for your tickets. You can print those tickets or show the codes on your phone. We were asked our last name for the reservation at the check-in booth. We didn't need to show anything, but have them just in case.
Parking
There is no parking at the Museum during this event. Parking is located in downtown Stockbridge. There is designated parking at the town hall located at 50 Main Street, Stockbridge, Ma. Once parked, you have to walk to the information booth across the street from the library. This is where you will check in as you wait for shuttles to the property.
Arriving
Exiting the bus, we met a few staff members helping get us headed in the right direction to begin our walkthrough. Signs showed the tour direction of the paths. Halfway through the walkthrough is a refreshment stand. We did not stop, so I don't have any information about what was being served or the cost of those items.
Things to know
This event is outside and has low lighting. The trail is not wheelchair accessible. There were also some slippery spots to be aware of on some of the descending pathways. I highly recommend wearing good boots and dressing accordingly. Visit the Naumkeags website to view any safety concerns you may have.
Thoughts
We had a great time while on the property. It took us about 1.5 hours to do everything, including parking, checking in, and getting the shuttles. The staff, as always, was very kind and courteous. The shuttle drivers and check-in staff were incredible as well. Thank you to all involved with setting this up for the public. Great job!
