Photography Trek

The last few days have been difficult for photos due to the weather we have been having. We did have our first minor snowstorm in Massachusetts on Friday. Because of this, I had to postpone the Trek for that day. Today's weather is cold, and with the snow still, on the ground, we set out to Bash Bish Falls, located in Mt. Washington, Ma. It has been a while since my family and I have been to the falls. The drive is about an hour for us, and I figured we could find some photo locations on the way, which in all honesty, didn't happen as I anticipated. Because of the recent snow, pull-off areas were either blocked or non-existent.

Since my car isn't that tremendous off-road, I was limited today. We parked at Taconic State Park and took the 3/4 mile hike up the trail to the falls. There is also parking up the mountain where the top of the falls is located, but we decided to take the easier way up to limit possible injuries. We did park at the top the last time we were here, but that path would be too steep and dangerous with the fallen leaves and recent snowfall. Dogs are allowed, and I wish we took ours, but there is always next time. Also, you won't get close to the falls since the stairs to it were blocked. I'm sure this is, so no one gets hurt. In the summer months, you should be able to get closer. Below are some photos I have taken from today's Trek. On a side note, remember always to bring your gear since you never know what you may see. I was stuck with my 85mm today; I did manage to forget my go-to lens.
